Ingredients

  • 8–10 slices brioche bread (or bread of your choice), cubed

  • 5 eggs

  • 2 cups milk of your choice

  • 1 cup date sugar (or brown sugar)

  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract

  • 2 tsp. Ceylon cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt

  • 2 cups blueberries (or fruit of your choice)

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, milk, date sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and sea salt. Whisk until smooth. Set aside.

  2. Cut the bread into cubes. Grease a casserole dish and add the cubed bread. Sprinkle the blueberries evenly over the top.

  3. Pour the egg mixture over the bread. Gently press the bread down to ensure it absorbs the liquid.

  4. Optional: Sprinkle extra cinnamon on top.

  5. Bake at 350°F for 45–50 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.

  6. Let rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.

  7. Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup for breakfast or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert. Enjoy!
