Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed, washed, and patted dry

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Smoked paprika

  • Crushed red pepper flakes

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Juice and zest of 1 small lemon

  • Freshly shredded Parmesan cheese

  • Crushed roasted almonds (optional)

Directions

  1. Wash, trim, and pat dry the fresh green beans

  2. set aside.

  3. Melt the butter in a skillet. Add the green beans and season with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and crushed red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 5 minutes.

  4. Add the minced garlic and cook on low for another minute until fragrant. Remove from heat.

  5. Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, freshly shredded Parmesan cheese, and optional crushed almonds.

  6. Serve warm and enjoy!
